John O’Meara started in Ireland as a lad, where his father had Irish Draught and Thoroughbred stallions; and he now owns and operates a multipurpose Thoroughbred breeding facility. With stops along the way at Spendthrift, Gainesway and Prestonwood, John has worked in the thoroughbred industry in Ireland, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, New Zealand and Australia.

Elaine and her husband Garner bought Verbarctic as a two-year-old for $2300; and he made $359,000. Hence, the name of the farm! They bought Investment Broker for $15,000, and sold him for $135,000, after he was named the New England Turf Horse of the Year. They have also raised several stake horses, including Sing Me Back Home.
